MEMBERSHIPS AND AFFILIATIONS
Whilst enrolled into the course a student may apply for undergraduate membership of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the Royal Australian Planning Institute, however as we are at the preliminary assessment phase of full recognition, membership is considered on a case by case basis by the RAIA. On successful completion of the course, graduates may advance their level of membership to these bodies and apply for membership to other professional bodies such as the Building Designers Association of Australia.
COURSE RECOGNITION
The course is fully Accredited, Authorised and Endorsed by the Office of Higher Education, under the Victorian Tertiary Education Act 1993. The Architecture Program at Oceania Polytechnic achieved the status of satisfactory preliminary assessment by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) and the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) in 1992 which is the first step in a three stage process to obtain full recognition and accreditation.
ARTICULATION AND CREDIT TRANSFER
Students wishing to transfer their studies to other institutions will be able to do so on satisfaction of entry and credit requirements of the other institution. Students wishing to transfer their studies to Oceania Polytechnic will be able to gain credits for subjects they have already studied depending on their RPL assessment.
